Ok - this is not meant to be alarmanistic, but please check this out.
My acquaintance and fellow Appalachian writer, Jennifer Bowen, is one of our areas leading digital, print and photography artists - she captured these images of the National Socialists Movement in America only a few days ago IN South Carolina, on the steps of the Capitol building. They had a HUGE South Carolina High Patrol security detail to protect them, South Carolina Law Enforcement Department agents combing the crowd and treating Nazi rally protestors - what in the hell is going on?
I'll make no judgements, but will simply forward the link so you can see for yourselves:

I don't mean to sound ALARMIST but Louis Farrakahn has these big pow-wows and talks about "white devils" too. It works both ways. Better yet, look-up the San Francisco ZEBRA killers and then get back to me.

Sat, June 9, 2007 - 5:27 PMThe part about the fake photographer was interesting (text accompanying shot of chubby middle age guy with badge).
I wouldn't worry too much about the cops. At least they're protecting somebody's civil liberties/free speech and that's always cool.
It really was a small rally. Those guys are deeply creeply, though. Their little matching outfits are so 1937.
